Marie, I haven't had much chance to participate in the forums so far - the conference takes up most of the time outside of my day job! I LOVE reading about the ancient world - it was one the first things a had to read when I was growing up. My own work is more American based, from Colonial to Civil War. Have you published any of your novels? If so, let me know the titles, I can include them in our reviews or "things I've read recently."
Love visiting NYC, like you, my daughter is Brooklyn and Manhattan based.

Hello everyone,
I am Marie, a Brooklyn and Manhattan New Yorker. I have been passionate about ancient and medieval history for as long as I can remember (one of my earliest "reads" was about the finding of Troy and Knossos.)
Not only am I writing novels set in ancient times, but I am also immersed in an independent research project on the history of the island of Sardinia, Italy (where I was born).
I also love to travel. I watch lots of football during holidays with relatives, and playing strategy games with my husband and sons (although they are better at those than am I.
I look forward to chatting with everyone here.
Marie
